Signet has been proudly supplying the line marking paint that marks the fields for the North Queensland Cowboys at 1300SMILES Stadium for close to 10 years.
When the opportunity arose to support a local junior footy event organised by the Cowboys, Signet jumped at the chance to support and help young Aussies compete.
The Laurie Spina Shield is one of the biggest junior rugby league carnivals in Australia and sees thousands of under 11’s travel to Townsville to compete each year. The event focuses on the participation and sportsmanship of our little legends of football. Some previous participants are not so little anymore, with rugby league players like Kyle Feldt and Michael Morgan playing some of their first games at the carnival.

Signet proudly shows their support for these local clubs at the Laurie Spina Shield by holding a free raffle with the chance to win a line marking trolley and a year’s supply of field marking paint. The ‘Brothers Bulldogs’ from Mackay were the lucky winners for the 2018 raffle.
“We were over the moon to win the prize. As president of our club, I have been trying to organize funds to purchase a line marking machine for some time now." -Andrew Battaia, club president.
“Winning has helped our club immensely. Until now we have had to borrow a line marker from a touch football club down the road and we could never get it when we needed it. Now our fields are fully marked out all year round and they look great!”
Signet is proud to support Brothers Bulldogs and over 60,000 Aussie ventures.
