Frequently Asked Questions about Linemarking
1. What is the difference between linemarking paint and field marking paint?
- Linemarking paint comes in 500g aerosol cans which perform best on concrete, bitumen or grass. This makes the paint ideal for walkways, car parks and warehouses. The paint is bright, quick-dry, long lasting, UV resistant and waterproof.
- Field marking paint is a water based paint designed for marking sporting fields and pitches of all sporting codes. It comes in a 15L drum so is ideal for bulk usage. The paint is safe to use on all types of grass and doesn’t cause damage or browning while ensuring a strong colour with fewer coats.
2. What colours do you have available?
- In the linemarking paints the colours available include: white, yellow, black, red, blue, green, orange, grey and lemon.
- The field marking paint is available in black, white, red, blue, green, yellow, fluoro pink and ultra white.
3. Do you have any accessories to make linemarking easier?
- Yes. Both the linemarking paint and field marking paint have trolleys to make marking quicker and easier with better end results. The Linemarking Trolley is a cost effective applicator which is used to increase line steadiness and accuracy, while eliminating the back strain associated with bending. There are 2 additional attachments which assist with performance: the side striper and the mask wheel set. The Side striper helps to mark closer to walls and machinery while the mask wheel set provides a sharper line.
- There are 3 different field marking trolleys available including the transfer field marking trolley, the electric field marking trolley and the Graco FieldLazer S90. The transfer field marking trolley is the traditional low cost marking trolley, while the electric field marking trolley and the FieldLazer provide top-of-the-line high-pressure spray for professional results.
4. Is there something suitable for marking a car park?
- Yes. Signet offers a car park stencil kit which comes with 11 of the most common car park stencils. The stencils are a water resistant oil board which performs well with linemarking paint and can be reused.
