Heat Sealers
Heat Sealers
What is a heat sealer?
- A heat sealer is a piece of packaging equipment that can typically fit on a desktop which is used to seal polypropylene or polyethylene bags and tubing. The machine has heating elements which heat the plastic to create a 2mm wide seal. This is the optimum width to provide strength without wastage.
Do heat sealers need servicing?
- Yes. By regularly replacing parts and conducting maintenance you will prolong the life of your heat sealer. There are heat sealer service kits available which contain the required Teflon strips and elements suited for the different sizes of heat sealer models.
What sizes are available?
- To ensure there is an option accessible for all requirements there are 5 different sizes of heat sealers available. There is a 200mm size, 300mm and 400mm size. For added convenience there is also a heat sealer available with a cutter attachment, or a foot operated heat sealer. The cutter model is beneficial for those working with polytubing while the foot operated model is recommended for high volume users as it will increase working comfort for operators.
