An impulse sealer is a type of heat sealing machine built to seal polyethylene (PE) and polypropylene (PP) bags and tubing, plus PVC bags, with a clean 2mm wide seal. A desktop-sized heat sealer suits light, occasional use, while heat sealer sizes of 200mm, 300mm and 400mm cover most standard bag widths. Wider or bulkier polytubing calls for a heavy duty heat sealer.
Some models add a cutter attachment, trimming polytubing to length in the same motion as sealing it. Foot-operated heat sealers free up both hands for high-volume bagging lines, where speed and consistency matter more than a manual trigger.
