Seven years ago, Alison Bell, an ex-tennis player turned natural health advocate, created Broth of Life after her son was diagnosed with severe health issues that changed the way her family ate. After experiencing firsthand, the remarkable improvement in her son's wellbeing and seeing the benefits in herself, she felt it her mission to share this liquid gold with others.
Broth of Life's mission is to help heal the nation’s gut problems and support others to enrich their lives and feel their best. Today, they manufacture 15 product lines, including bone broth powders, healthy fats, salts, and stocks, and ship approximately 400 orders per week to both domestic and international markets.
Becoming more environmentally friendly was essential to Broth of Life, however, they struggled to find a sustainable yet effective alternative to the bubble wrap they were using to pack their products. Their products are packaged in glass jars so they needed a solution that would still be highly protective as well as eco-friendly.
“We were uncomfortable with the amount of plastic waste we were generating, so we started to trial a number of eco-friendly bubble wrap alternatives. However, we found with the ‘green’ options often came breakages — that was until we found Signet and Geami.”
Geami is an eco-friendly, paper bubble wrap alternative made from a die-cut kraft paper that expands into a honeycomb structure to cushion and protect fragile products.
Broth of Life first trialled the compact Geami Exbox Mini and were thrilled with the results. This quickly led to them upgrading to the Geami WrapPak — suitable for mid-volume applications — to be more cost efficient.
Since implementing Geami, Broth of Life have significantly reduced their packing time and eliminated damages in transit.

Not only has the Geami solution allowed Broth of Life to minimise plastic waste by eliminating bubble wrap, but they no longer require the tape they were using to hold it together — an often overlooked plastic element of packaging.
“We can now wrap three jars at once with no need for tape and the presentation is beautiful. It really suits our earthy brand and has enhanced the unboxing experience for our customers.”
