The 3M 201+ masking tape is a high performing general purpose crepe masking tape. It has a rubber based adhesive and is suitable for light-medium duty applications.
1. What is the tape used for?
- The 201+ masking tape sticks to many different surfaces and can be removed cleanly leaving no residue behind. It adheres instantly with a dependable holding power. This makes it ideal for general purpose uses such as wrapping electrical chords, bundling parts, sealing, holding and a number of other jobs where a pressure sensitive tape is required. This tape is easily tearable by hand, yet is designed to resist slivering. What colour is the masking tape? The tape is tan in colour.
2. What is the temperature resistance of this tape?
- This masking tape can withstand temperatures of 93°C for up to 30 minute periods.
3. What is the shelf life of the tape?
- 3M suggests storing the tape in an environment that is 21°C. For the best performance results, the tape should be used within one year from the date of manufacture.
4. What sizes are available for this masking tape?
- Each roll of tape is 55 metres long. There are 4 widths of tape available including 18mm , 24mm , 36mm and 48mm.
