Flume is an economic way of moving large volumes of low-medium pressure moving water. It is essentially a long polyethylene tube where the user creates holes at a set interval all the way along the tubing for water to flow out of. The tubing is made with a high quality virgin polyethylene that has a high UV rating to suit harsh Australian conditions.
How do you use flume?
Firstly you will need to unpack and completely unroll the flume, being careful to avoid sharp or abrasive objects. It is recommended to do this where you are planning to position the flume as it will eliminate the need for relocation. Then simply secure the end of the flume with a clamp and connect the other end to your pump. When you start the water flow ensure that the pressure builds up slowly as otherwise it can over-stress the film.
