The mailing box is a pizza-box style item, designed with a lid that spans the length and width and has flaps that slot into the sides of the carton. Mailing boxes are a flat rectangular shape with a longer length, slightly shorter width and even shorter height.
What is this carton used for?
As the name suggests this box is used for mailing and shipping. The boxes are made to standard mailing sizes which conform to post standards and reduce the cost of an incorrectly sized shipping carton. The box is supplied flat, and then can be folded into shape without the need for packaging tape, staples or glue. Mailing boxes have a white exterior giving them a more stylish look than regular brown shipping cartons. Mailing boxes are ideal for lighter items that need to be sent through the post. They are suitable for either sturdy or fragile goods, but ensure to use protective packaging if the items are fragile as the box is not padded.
How many sizes are available?
There are 4 sizes of mailing boxes available. The smallest size is 220mm x 160mm x 77mm (length x width x height) while the largest size on offer is 430mm x 305mm x 140mm.
