By introducing Signet’s Enviro Machine Film and Velcro Logistrap, Beerfarm reduces film usage per pallet by 13% and improves efficiency while maintaining load stability.
Independently-owned Aussie brewery, Beerfarm first opened their doors in 2015 on the rolling hills of WA’s Margaret River region. Built from an old dairy farm, their heritage for hard work and focus on fresh produce still reign true today.
Beerfarm produce beverages for every occasion, from classic lagers, to intricate IPA’s and sours and cider packed full of fruit from Aussie farmers. However, beyond making great beer and cultivating good times, they’re driven by their philosophy of being ‘established for the future’ and are committed to reducing their carbon footprint in every way possible.

Previously, Beerfarm used a 23um Cast Machine Film to wrap all their pallets for transport and storage. While it kept their pallets secure, it was producing a lot of plastic waste which wasn’t aligned with their sustainability goals.
“In just one year we found we were using 661kg of pallet wrap. With our production continuing to increase, we wanted to find a solution to reduce our plastic waste and improve our impact on the environment.” — Josh Nobbs, Beerfarm Pack Man.
Having already worked with Signet in the past, Beerfarm reached out to their Account Manager to look for a more sustainable load containment solution. Beerfarm now use Signet’s 20um Enviro Machine Stretch Film to secure all their pallets for shipping.
Signet’s Enviro Stretch Film combines post-consumer recycled and sugarcane-based materials with state-of-the-art technology to create an effective load containment solution that uses far less virgin material than a traditional film.
The switch has not only seen Beerfarm stop 661kg of virgin plastic from entering landfill, but has helped them reduce the amount of film they use per pallet by 13%.

“Transitioning to Signet’s Enviro Stretch Film has been seamless. It’s made no difference to the stability of our pallets but a huge difference to our environmental impact.”
Additionally, Beerfarm have introduced the Velcro Logistrap to secure their kegs while moving around the warehouse and storing. This has helped them further reduce their plastic usage and improve efficiency in securing their pallets.
“The Velcro Logistraps are extremely sturdy and so quick and easy to use. We’re storing about 20 pallets a week and it’s a great feeling not having to wrap them in all that plastic to keep them secure.”
