Angus & Celeste is a Melbourne-born ceramics business founded in 2010 by Keir Angus MacDonald and Asha Celeste Cato. From humble beginnings at local artist markets, the brand has blossomed into an internationally stocked eCommerce business renowned for creating functional ceramics that add vibrancy and colour to the homes of their consumers.
After amassing a social following of over 38,000 followers and shipping up to 500 eCommerce orders out each month, owner Asha sought to enhance Angus & Celeste's sustainable unboxing experience whilst improving packaging efficiency to one that better accommodated her growing business.

With inspiration from nature's surroundings so heavily ingrained in the brand's DNA, it was clear that compromising on a sustainable packaging solution was out simply out of the equation.
"In the early days, we used to recycle all of our cartons, which was great because there was no waste! But as the business grew and we got busier it was becoming unmanageable, so we needed to find a more standardise solution, that didn't compromise on our sustainable ethos."
After approaching a range of packaging companies, Asha found that many required a minimum order amount that she simply could not accommodate due to storage limitations at her warehouse.
One final Google search landed Asha on Signet's website, where her journey to a perfect fit packaging solution finally came to fruition.
Straight away, the team at Signet sought to provide Asha and the wider Angus & Celeste team with a unique solution that ticked boxes in sustainability, efficiency and minimal storage.
"We have a strict polystyrene-free ethos and aim to use as little packaging as possible. However, being a ceramics business, we of course also need it to be able to protect our products."
Angus & Celeste now use Signet's sustainable Newswrap, made from 30% recycled materials, to wrap each product for transit. These wrapped ceramics are then securely packed into Signet's 100% recyclable Shipping Cartons and filled with our recyclable Kraft Paper, which helps prevent cracks and scratches on the surface of ceramics, while directly aligning with Angus & Celeste’s eco-footprint.
