Street artist, potter, mentor and teacher Leah Grant needed an easier, more cost-effective way to source her packaging. Following advice from fellow potters, she turned to Signet.
For more than a decade, Leah Grant has been transforming spaces and inspiring communities through bold large-scale murals, carefully patterned ceramic forms, and meaningful arts education. Whether she’s painting a school façade, mentoring emerging artists, or throwing clay in her Geelong home studio, Leah’s work radiates colour, energy and emotion.
“My work is inspired by nature, so there's a common thread of it in my murals and in my ceramics. Whether I’m painting a mural or working with clay, I’m always thinking about how I can transform a surface into something more inviting, emotional and uplifting.” - Leah Grant

Today, Leah splits most of her time between her home pottery studio, mural projects across South Australia and Victoria, and teaching ceramics at Elizabeth Bell Ceramics - a creative studio where she continues to learn, teach and collaborate with a community of talented potters.
Before partnering with Signet, Leah sourced her packaging from another major retail store. As her business grew, this option became neither cost-effective nor convenient, leading her to search for a more reliable supplier. The switch to Signet came through advice from fellow ceramicist Jess from Wombat Pottery, who also works at Elizabeth Bell Ceramics and is a regular on the local market circuit.
“Jess said, ‘No questions - go to Signet’. She told me to get the Geami Kraft Honeycomb Paper and the Paper Carry Bags saying it would be cheaper and will arrive in a couple of days, which it did. A lot of the potters at our studio now use Signet, and you see the same packaging all over the local markets.”

Leah now uses Signet’s 100% Recyclable Twist Handle Paper Carry Bags and Geami Kraft Honeycomb Paper Wrap as her go-to packaging solution for markets, workshops, and online orders.
For ceramics; presentation, quality and protection all matter equally. Leah needed packaging that kept her pieces safe while also reflecting the same care, creativity and sustainability values that go into each one.
“I wrap each piece in Geami because it protects my work beautifully, it’s sustainable, and it looks lovely. The kraft paper bags also suit my pieces perfectly. I add a logo stamp and sometimes a sticker, and they look fantastic.”
Beyond aesthetics, sustainability plays a huge role in Leah’s business decisions. As a muralist who works with aerosol paints, she’s conscious of reducing her environmental footprint wherever possible, from recycling spray cans to choosing eco-friendly packaging options.
“When I’ve got a packaging choice that lets me be more sustainable, I’m always going to go that way. Customers really value it too, especially when they’re buying something handmade that’s meant to last a lifetime. These aren’t fast-moving homewares you buy for a season or trend. Quality pottery should last.”

Running a multi-disciplinary business means Leah is constantly juggling projects and materials. To keep everything moving smoothly, she relies on supplies that arrive quickly and consistently.
“My experience with Signet has been quick, efficient and convenient. Everything arrives fast and looks great.”
Whether she’s preparing for a market weekend, teaching or fulfilling online orders, having a reliable packaging supplier helps her stay focused on what matters most: creating work that inspires others.
