Signet reaches a new milestone in Customer Service Excellence and helping Australian businesses compete

The recent 2015 CSIA Australian Service Excellence Awards saw Signet become an industry leader in training for the first time, winning the Training Excellence Award on both state and national levels.

There were a large number of organisations striving for excellence to the people that matter most this year, the customers. Signet was again awarded for their customer service excellence, winning seven awards in total including Best Medium Business, backing up the win for this award on a national level last year. However, receiving the Training Excellence Award was the highlight of the evening and a testament to the work done throughout the business to ensure that our customers are the focus of every decision and process.

Signet General Manager, John King, was proud to be recognised in the wider customer service community as an organisation to aspire to when training individuals, departments or a business as a whole.

"We understand that great customer service comes down to the quality of our people," said Mr. King. "Signet has ensured, through the development of internal learning tools that our people are not only highly skilled at what they do, but also on the key tasks of other departments in the business so we can help our customers' businesses compete.

"Signet's devotion to training also extends beyond a single product or process. Over the past 24 months Signet has been on a continuous improvement and LEAN journey. An integral part of this journey and continually placing our customers at the forefront of every activity is delivering the right training throughout the entire business," he explained.

This year marked the 14th year of these highly coveted awards, with organisations such as SunSuper Pty Ltd, American Express and Brisbane City Council also rewarded for their achievements.

Ensuring that the highest standard of training is being provided to all staff; including product, process and most importantly customer focused training, is a key factor in Signet's ongoing success.

Mr King said, "While awards are great, the real value and benefit of training, continuous improvement and LEAN programs goes to our customers. Giving them the best experience at every touch point and being able to provide a solution when they need it, is the corner stone of any successful and trusted business."
