Signet Pty Ltd Terms of Trade


Your tax invoice will arrive with your goods. Please pay on invoice as no statement is issued. Your payment is due any time within 30 days of your purchase. There is a minimum purchase of just $50 (exclusive of GST). The price of goods covered by all invoices is ex-warehouse.


Delivery is free to metro Sydney, Brisbane, Melbourne, Adelaide and Perth for all orders of $100 (exclusive of GST) or more (FIS Metro areas as defined by our freight company). For goods delivered outside the metro area, Signet Pty Ltd will deliver direct to your door and freight charges will apply. Goods shall be at the purchasers risk from date of delivery.


If you are not 100% satisfied with your purchase, simply call us within 31 days. We will arrange collection and replace your order or refund you in full. We will always be glad to pay freight where the error is ours. Understandably, special orders such as capital equipment or custom items made to non stock specifications can only be replaced if the error is ours.


Retention of Title Clause: All goods invoiced and delivered remain the property of Signet Pty Ltd; until payment in full has been received by Signet Pty Ltd. Signet Pty Ltd may at any time without notice retake possession of goods. The buyer should not however, be entitled to return the goods without prior written agreement from Signet Pty Ltd.


GST & Pricing: Prices are guaranteed for six months from release of Your Buyer’s Guide excluding Buy to Demand and Custom made products. Advertised pricing in the Your Buyer’s Guide excludes 10% GST.

Privacy Policy: On December 21st 2001 the federal government’s national privacy principles came into effect to protect individuals from having their personal information misused by organisations. The legislation covers the collection of information from consumers from December 21st onwards. If you would like more information on this legislation go to www.privacy.gov.au. The information that Signet Pty Ltd collects is generally of a business nature and does not usually contain personal information. Even so, the information that we do collect will not be sold, rented or traded to third parties, other than to members of The Winson Group, without your consent. Where you provide such consent, you also consent to third parties sending you promotional information. You can refuse consent by ticking the appropriate box on the Terms and Conditions of Trade below. Signet uses information gathered to keep customers up to date with new products, offers and prices that are available. These offers may be based on information you have provided and on your history with us as a customer. If at any time you would like to be excluded from Signet mailings you can contact us on sales@signet.net.au or send through a copy of the latest letter received and your request to be removed to Customer Information Services, P O Box 767 Capalaba DC Qld 4157.

Privacy Policy Information Acknowledgement and Consent:

Notice and acknowledgment that credit information may be given to a Credit Reporting Agency.
I/We understand that under the Privacy Act 1988 Section 18E(c) allows you to give a credit reporting agency certain personal information about me/us which I authorise you to do. The information, which may be given, is covered by Section 18E(1) of the Act.

Authority to Obtain Credit information:

I/We authorise you to obtain from a credit reporting agency:

  • a credit report containing personal information about me/us for the purpose of assessing an application by me/us or my/our company/firm for commercial credit.
  • other information relating to my/our commercial credit activities.
  • credit report containing personal information about me/us for the purpose of the collection of overdue payments in respect of commercial credit which you have provided me/us or my/our company/firm.

Authority to Exchange information with other credit providers:

I/we authorise you to give to and obtain from

  • If it is considered relevant to assessing my/our application for commercial credit, I/we agree to you obtaining from a credit reporting agency a credit report containing both personal and commercial credit information.
  • Information about my/our personal or commercial credit arrangements which can include information about my/our credit worthiness, credit standing. Credit history or credit capacity that credit providers are allowed to give and receive from each other under the Privacy Act 1988 and information may be given and used for the purposes that may include the following:
  •  To assess an application by me/us for commercial credit.
  • To assist me/us avoid defaulting on my/our credit obligations
  • To notify other credit providers of a default by menus
  • To assess my/our credit worthiness and
  • To assess my/our position if I/we fall into arrears.
