PRIVACY POLICY
On December 21 2001 the federal government's national privacy principles came into effect to protect individuals from having their personal information misused by organisations. The legislation covers the collection of information from consumers from December 21 onwards. If you would like more information on this legislation go to www.privacy.gov.au.
The information that Signet Pty Ltd collects is generally of a business nature and does not usually contain personal information.
Even so, the information that we do collect will not be sold, rented or traded to third parties, other than to members of The Winson Group, without your consent. Where you provide such consent, you also consent to third parties sending you promotional information. You can refuse consent by ticking the appropriate box on the Terms and Conditions of Trade that Signet will fax to your after we fulfill your first order.
Signet does use information gathered to keep customers up to date with new products, offers and prices that are available. These offers may be based on information you have provided and on your history with us as a customer.
If at any time you would like to be excluded from Signet mailings you can contact us on sales@signet.net.au or send through a copy of the latest letter received and your request to be removed to Customer Information Services, PO Box 767, Capalaba QLD 4157.
OUR 5% PRICE BEATING POLICY
If you find a price in the market which is lower than Signet's buyer’s guide published price on any Buyer’s Guide product, Signet will beat that price by 5% unit June 30, 2008. To receive deductions, customer must first fax through their current written quote or invoice displaying the lower price. When the product in question is a Signet manufactured product, e.g. Spot Marking Spray, Signet will honour the guarantee on equivalent products from other manufacturers. For metro customers eligible for free delivery, faxed quotes with lower prices must include the cost of delivery. Faxed quotes and invoices are deemed current if dated February 1, 2008. This guarantee is not open to resellers.
SECURITY
Signet operates secure data networks protected by industry standard firewall and password protected systems. Our security and privacy policies are periodically reviewed and enhanced as necessary and only authorised individuals have access to the information provided by our customers. Credit Card details are not stored with or connected to customer information at any time.
Other Situations in which personal information may be disclosed
Signet may store and disclose information allowed or required by applicable law. This means that we may make disclosures that are necessary or advisable to conform to legal and regulatory requirements or processes and where the protection of the rights, safety and property of customers, suppliers, staff or the public is deemed necessary.
